THE ART
Traditionally, in the Ayurvedic medical system, this special oil is used specifically for children’s ailments - ear, nose, throat and chest infections, especially for phlegm disorders of the lungs and for asthma wheeze, which is a common complaint for children the world over.
The monk’s formulated ‘oil’ is so pure it is used both externally and internally ! A far cry from most medicated oils.

ACUTE OTITIS MEDIA:
This inflammation of your child’s middle ear which causes pain and impaired hearing is not receptive to antibiotics. 30% of all British children under the age of 3 visit their GP with this condition, and GP’s prescribe antibiotics in 97% of cases. (De Mar et al 97; Brit. Med. J. 9th Aug. 97)
This amounts to over 500,00 prescriptions being routinely and wrongly prescribed while your child unnecessary suffers to make money for the drug companies !
CHILDREN’S COUGHS:
With over 200 licensed OTC (over-the-counter) medicines for coughs and colds, it is quite staggering that none of them work or can cure adults and children’s colds. It is clearly evident that so-called ‘licensed medicines’ mean absolutely nothing. What it does mean, is that it’s ‘licensed’ to deceive and take your money !
Research also shows that ‘anti-histamines’ prescribed for nasal allergies are also useless decongestants for children. (Textbook of Influenza by JS Nguyen Van Tam. 1998)
There is no convincing evidence that any ‘licensed medicines’ or brand-name cough medications are any more effective than a placebo (dummy pill) ! In fact, its quite the opposite, where the chemicals given to children actually cause them unnecessary distress.
Anti-histamines: causes sedation but does not suppress cough.
Cough suppressant: causes hyperactivity.
Decongestants: give children hallucinations and causes behavioural changes like extreme agitation and bad tempers.
(Drug.Thera.Bull. 1999. March)
GLUE EAR:
Surgery is the first resort for a poor doctor!
Thousands of children between 1- 4 years of age are subjected to tremendous anxiety and pain through unnecessary grommet operations. Children are better off without this invasive procedure has it made very little difference to children’s speech and language development. (Lancet. 20th March 1999)
SORE THROATS:
Common antibiotics like ‘Ampicillin, Eryrhromycin, Amoxycillin and Penicillin have no effect for improving sore throats. In fact, again these so-called ‘licensed medicines’ prolonged the duration of the illness. (Brit. Med. J. Nov 8, 97)
HEADACHES & INCREASED RISKS OF ASTHMA & ECZEMA:
Children who frequently take pain-killers with ‘paracetamol’ in, like the sweet and sticky Calpol, were found to suffer more pain, than it actually relieved !
(Cephalalgia. May 1997. University of Central Hospital, Helsinki. )
Recent studies in the The Lancet Medical Journal by Professor Richard Beasley et al ( The Lancet September 20th, 2008, Vol:372 No: 9643, PP 1039 ) from the Medical Research Institute of New Zealand showed the strong link how paracetamol-based medicines like Calpol make children more vulnerable to allergies like asthma, hay fever and eczema. Young children whose parents have given them paracetamol-based medicines increase the risk by 46%. Studies are still ongoing.
Cold & Flu:
Asthmatic conditions are made worse by 'paracetamol'
ingredient by causing breathing difficulties..
(Thorax. March 2000)
